The first GE Discovery MR750 3.0T research-type magnetic resonance equipment installed in hospitals in China has arrived at our center in December 2011. After nearly five months of assembly and debugging, the machine has entered the acceptance stage smoothly, and has been put into trial operation. The data it generated conform fully to the high-quality characteristics of the Discovery MR750 3.0T equipment. Specifically, the internal cooling gradient improves the stability of functional brain imaging by 200%, and the drift rate of data acquisition is as low as 0.03%. It can provide stable and realistic functional brain imaging. The MRI laboratory is also equipped with a magnetic resonance stimulation system, which can facilitate the completion of various functional magnetic resonance imaging experiments and basic cognitive experiments. The Center has signed AA and EPIC agreements with GE headquarters, and CCBD has become the first unit authorized by GE to encode sequence source code in China. Not only the hardware and software equipment is ready and the high-quality test has started running, the MRI laboratory is also equipped with a professional development and maintenance team. At present, the MRI laboratory has employed two engineers and one professional technical operator. They are responsible for the daily management and operation of the MRI laboratory, and for developing new sequences for the MRI experiment. The lab provides strong technical support to ensure that the center's MRI is in the leading position in China.
