The laboratory has several EEG systems (with 128, 64 and 32 channels) produced by Brain Products company, a powerful tool for cognitive neuroscience research. The EEG system has a great advantage of temporal resolution: the system can detect potential changes in milliseconds and examine brain activity status accurately during different time courses. As an effective tool for indirect measurement of nerve activity, EEG and related event-related potentials (ERP) are widely used in neuroscience, cognitive science, cognitive psychology, neuroscience and psychophysiology. The system helps record, analyze, and localize EEG signals or evoked potentials with high temporal resolution. It also helps integrate data from fMRI, MRI, fNIRS, TMS, tDCS and PET to determine the dynamic trajectory and anatomic basis of event-related potentials. This system allows us to observe the on-going state of brain function during the processes of cognitive activities.
