Introduction: Dr Jun Wang is an Instructor of Psychiatry department at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He earned his Ph.D degree from the University of Georgia and continued his postdoctoral studies at Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, University of Illinois at Chicago, UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Wang’s research efforts focus on neural mechanisms underlying sensory processing deficits in schizophrenia.  In particular, he uses a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to investigate when and where the abnormal sensory processing occurs in schizophrenia. Ultimately, he wants to identify the possible phenotypes in both chronic and treatment free (first-episode) schizophrenia patients. Dr. Wang has published his findings in several high impact journals, including Journal of Neuroscience, Cerebral Cortex, etc. In addition to schizophrenia, he has recently begun bridging his interests in research of Autism population.
