报告内容简介：
During the imagination of motor movement the brain is known to produce characteristic patterns of electrophysiological activity, referred to as event related (de)synchronisation (ERD/S). Such patterns may be induced voluntarily and are widely used in the control of Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) for assistance with communication and control. However, they are also still only partially understood.
This talk will first describe the ERD/S, how it arises, how it may be detected and its use in BCI control. It will then go on to outline some of the new and emerging findings relating to the ERD/S and BCI which are being made. Finally, the talk will touch on related questions in neuroscience and discuss related issues.
