The project implements a joint training plan in the Institute of Psychological Science of Hangzhou Normal University and the University of Macau. Qualified candidates are welcome to contact us (hznuccbd@163.com, or contact directly with the mentors you are interested in).
1. Application and Selection
Joint education for graduate students can be divided into two categories: direct enrollment and general enrollment. The selected students should meet the requirements of the Entrance Regulations for Doctoral Degree Courses of the University of Macau for English and other admission criteria. They should register within the admission period through official procedures and should be admitted by the Graduate School of the University of Macau. The doctorate degree belongs to the University of Macau. The selection process and the number of students enrolled are decided by discussions between universities.
2. Duration and place of study
Joint-training Ph.D. students usually have four years of study. From the day of registration, they should complete their course study and carry out research projects in the first year at Macau University. Then, they transfer to Hangzhou Normal University to continue their study and research, and return to Macau University for graduation defense at the right time.
3. Schooling system, training courses and school roll
The joint training project implements a dual tutorial system. Two professors are appointed by the University of Macau and Hangzhou Normal University, respectively, as the tutors of joint training for doctoral students. The qualifications of tutors are co-recognized by both universities. The training plan for graduates (including research interests and topic selection of dissertation) is decided by both tutors. During the period of study, students are required to abide by all the regulations of both schools.
4. Tuition arrangement and financial support
During the residence period of the University of Macau, the full amount of the grant will be funded by Hangzhou Normal University according to the "Guidelines for the Subsidy of Doctoral and Master Students" of the University of Macau. Subsidies include living expenses (accommodation, transportation, etc.) during the training period of Macau University, transportation costs between Macau and Hangzhou, and living expenses in Hangzhou. During the training period of Hangzhou Normal University, the graduate students will continue to be fully funded by Hangzhou Normal University, the amount of which is no less than the average level of the doctoral students' subsidy in the Mainland.
